Natalie Saham is a senior at La Jolla High School. She is a passionate activist and volunteer in the San Diego community working to improve her community, especially through education, for 5 years. Natalie has made Muirlands Middle School the first public school in the country to gain the SADS Heart Safe School accreditation. To achieve this goal Natalie worked with school administrators and the San Diego Fire department as well as the Sudden Arrhythmia Death foundation to ensure that students and teachers were prepared in the event of a cardiac arrest on campus. Most recently Natalie completed her Girl Scout Gold Award implementing a free remote tutoring program at two elementary schools, helping students make up for learning loss due to online education. Her exposure to students learning at an underprivileged elementary school has driven her to wish to help her community further and ensure that those children will continue to have access to free tutoring in the future.

Natalie loves roller blading, hanging out with friends, nature, and music (some honorable mentions include Phoebe Bridgers and Kendrick Lamar). Natalie loves to make people laugh! She plans on studying History and Psychology in college and possibly becoming a lawyer.
