Emilia Ratkovic is a senior at La Jolla High School. Emilia has been active in her community since her freshman year of high school. During her freshman year, she volunteered at an animal shelter in Serbia. There, she learned about the importance of compassion and she enjoyed taking care of dogs and cats. During the pandemic, Emilia wanted to help kids who were struggling with online school, so she volunteered by tutoring elementary schoolers from Bird Rock Elementary. 

   Emilia enjoys camping, hiking, and skiing. She hopes to pursue a career in medicine and become a pediatrician one day.
